Mayor and Council are concerned about the impact Covid-19 has had on Dawson City businesses. In the 2020 Annual Operating Budget, Council approved funds for the purpose of providing some relief to businesses. On December 9, 2020, council by resolution approved a rebate program for Dawson City businesses. All businesses licensed to operate in the City of Dawson for 2020 and operate from a premise in the City, are eligible. A rebate equal to a minimum of $125 to a maximum of one-quarter of annual water, sewer and waste charges is available.

The attached form consists primarily of business name, contact and account numbers allowing us to pull your business account information and prepare the calculation of rebate for you. If you are unsure of your Business License number, or your annual utility account numbers (those beginning with “A”), our staff at the City office will assist.

Please note the deadline date of January 31, 2021. If you are having difficulties with the form, or foresee a possibility of not being able to respond by the deadline, please call us 867-993-7400. We want to ensure every Dawson City business has the opportunity to obtain the rebate.
We will be mailing out information on the calculated rebate amount and the account(s) the rebate will be applied to, approximately mid-February.
