Bylaw Services 
The Bylaw Services Department is responsible for enforcement of the regulatory municipal bylaws, as well as Council policies, guidelines, and resolutions within the boundaries of the City of Dawson.

The goal of the Bylaw Services Department is to achieve compliance through education and the provision of information in order to preserve the quality of life to which each citizen is entitled and then, where required, through enforcement actions.

Fire Protection Services
The Dawson City Fire Department provides life, property and environmental protection to the community 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days per year.

Dawson's fire protection area includes the municipal boundaries; as well as a mutual aid agreement with Yukon Government for the provision of fire services coverage to our neighbouring fire department.

The department responds to fires, motor vehicle incidents, hazardous materials incidents, utility emergencies, carbon monoxide alarms and performs rescue services, along with other public services.

The goal of the Dawson City Fire Department is to promote and deliver life safety by providing efficient, professional, high quality, cost effective and timely productive services including fire suppression, fire prevention, disaster response management, public safety education and code enforcement.

The City of Dawson is currently proceeding with spring flood preparations and CEMC meetings.
