Monday Pickleball at Minto Park Tennis Court
5:30pm to 7:30pm
Ages 13+
Monday Water Polo at the City of Dawson Swimming Pool
6:30pm to 7:30pm
Ages 6+
An introduction to water polo for all ages *must be able to swim 50 meters (two lengths of the pool)
Participants will learn the basics of water polo through games, drills and fun activities! No previous skills required!
Wednesday Swim Fit at the City of Dawson Swimming Pool
6:30 to 7:30pm
Ages 16+
A program for adults looking to improve their fitness or capability in the water. As an instructor led swim workout this is a great option for people who are interested in lane swim but are unsure how to structure their own workout regime. It is also a solid option for people who are looking for feedback on how to improve their swim strokes.
Wednesday Free Fitness at Minto Park
12pm to 1pm
Ages 13+
A Free drop in, outdoor fitness class utilizing calisthenics and agility.
Thursday Drop in Volleyball at Minto Park

Friday Yoga in the Park at Minto Park
12pm to 1pm
"Stretch for Strength" yoga inspired class for developing strength and flexibility. Please dress for the weather (hot sun) as this class will be outside; (inside available if it is raining). Bring water, a sun hat and a mat(extra mats available). All levels and (flex)abilities welcome!
Friday Aquafit at the Dawson City Swimming Pool
4:30pm to 5:30pm
Instructor-led aerobic exercise program, based in the water! Open for all ages, a fun way to increase cardio, muscular strength and endurance without impact on the joints an muscles.
Wednesday and Saturdays Hike with a Local
Meeting at the Visitor's Information Centre
Space is limited, register at the Visitor Information Centre.
The City of Dawson invites you to join our local hiker, Paul Towns on an adventure on the Midnight Dome Trail Network in Dawson City, in the Traditional Territory of the Tr'ondëk Hwëch'in.
All participants are strongly urged to wear proper hiking shoes or boots and to wear comfortable clothing that is appropriate for hiking and appropriate for the weather. Participants are expected to provide their own beverages, food, bug spray, and to pack out whatever they pack in. Guide will carry bear spray, a medical kit, and is First Aid Certified. Participants are encouraged to carry bear spray as well if they have it and/or wear bear bells. Hiking poles will be provided at the Visitors Centre if you choose to use them. Each hike will start and end at the Visitors Centre on Front Street. Capacity will be limited to 12 people and ages 12+. Bring a camera!

9th Avenue / Klondyke Millennium Trail Loop
A great introduction to the local trails around Dawson City. Hike along Dawson’s historic 9th Avenue trail the riverfront Millennium Trail and see sights of the Yukon River, Moosehide Slide, beautiful lookouts above Dawson City, interpretive panels, and local plant life. Hiking poles are not super necessary for this hike, but they will be provided for you at the Visitors Centre if you would like to use them. Please use washroom facilities at the Visitors Centre before departing.

Multi-Trail Hillside Loop
This hike packs several of Dawson’s best trails all into one great excursion. Hike includes the North section of the 9th Ave trail, Typhoid Descent, Moosehide Slide Connector, Nankak Zu, Acklen Ditch, Buried Treasure, Crocus Bluff lookout, Crocus Ridge, Supply & Demand, and Klondyke Millennium Trail. See beautiful lookouts over Dawson and the Yukon River, as well as a variety of flora & fauna. Pack a light lunch or a couple snacks. 20 minute break at Crocus Bluff lookout for snacks and pictures. Hiking poles are recommended for this hike and will be provided for you at the Visitors Centre. Please use washroom facilities at the Visitors Centre before departing. Outhouse washrooms located at Crocus Bluff Recreation Site parking lot.

Dome Loop
This one goes all the way to the top! Walk along King Street and up Mary Mcleod Road, hike along the Buried Treasure Trail using a series of switchbacks and then onwards and upwards onto the Dome Hiking Trail. It’s a challenging climb but the view at the top is absolutely stunning, and totally worth the hard work. Descend back down Dome Hiking Trail to the Acklen Ditch Trail, Nankak Zu, Moosehide Slide Connector, Typhoid Descent, 9th Ave North. Pack a lunch and a couple snacks. Half hour break at the top to eat lunch and take pictures. Hiking poles are highly recommended for this hike and will be provided for you at the Visitors Centre. Please use washroom facilities at the Visitors Centre before departing. Outhouse washrooms are located at the top of the Dome.
