Dawson City has a vibrant Arts Community. Dawson City Arts Society (DCAS) operates Klondike Institute of Arts and Culture (KIAC) www.kiac.org as well as KIAC School of Visual Arts (SOVA) www.kiacsova.ca.

Yukon College has a campus in Dawson City offering several courses to our community members as well as distance education courses. www1.yukoncollege.yk.ca/campuses/dawson_city

The Klondike Visitors Association (KVA) www.dawsoncity.ca is a not for profit tourism organization that began in the 1950’s welcoming visitors to Dawson City and continues to operate, welcome visitors and market Dawson City world wide.

Our winters here are wonderful, somewhat cold but always busy with snowmobiling www.dawsoncitysleddawgs.net and dog mushing, www.thepercy.com and www.yukonquest.com, skiing at Moose Mountain, curlingat the Top of the World Curling Club,  and we are very active with hockey, (minor, seniors and oldtimers) and numerous other winter sports activities.

Klondike Improvement Action Group (KIAG) is a citizen-led volunteer group that is working on the beautification/revitalization of the City of Dawson by identifying areas in the Downtown core that need to be cleaned, fixed or spruced up. We have idea meeting once a month and work project meetings 3 or 4 times a month. For more info call Nancy at 6387.
